I recently had some deaths in the family, which forced me to take 2 Ws. Earlier this year, my grandmother was found to have a terminal illness and was dying, so the family needed my help to take care of her. I could no longer attend class, so I had to take 4 Ws. That's 6 Ws due to deaths in the family. I feel like I am screwed for medical school now with all of these withdrawals. My GPA is a 3.81 and I've received mostly As and a couple Bs in all of the pre-reqs. My numbers line up, but how am I supposed to explain all of this? Do you address this in the primary application or somewhere else?

You will have the opportunity to address this in the secondary applications and/or the supplemental essays that are offered by the medical colleges.
