Do med students have a preferred supplier of text books?

Do folks use E-bay a lot?

Or go to a half-price book store?

Or amazon.com?

Or wait for med school seniors to auction their books off?

Just curious as to whether there's a consensus. The prices on e-bay seem pretty darn good!

During med school, I bought a lot of books from other students (in higher-up years). There was also the bookstore, and amazon.com.

Once my booklist actually arrives I'll be checking half.com and bulletin boards on campus.

The first step, though, is to talk to some of your upperclassmen and women and see what their recommendations are for what books to actually purchase. It's true that learning styles vary along with what materials you'll want to use, but some texts are just redundant and a waste of money.
