prophase1 or metaphase 1 of meiosis?

the kaplan blue books says prophase1 and the subject test answer says metaphase?

my guess is prophase!!

When chromosomes pair in the early prophase of the first division of meiosis (Meiosis I), a crossover occurs.

Metaphase is when they align in the center of the metaphase plate

I struggled with that same question in my head a little bit. However, I distinctly remember one of my professors drilling it into our head that it was PROPHASE I OF MEIOSIS repeatedly. It's also the longest stage (time).
