Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this. I'll make it short. I am 24, and just got my first MCAT score back Tuesday. I don't know where to apply, and know I'm at a disadvantage applying this late. Here's my stats

GA resident
2 years at Tufts- GPA 3.3
2 years at UNC-CH (major psychology) 3.85, Phi Beta Kappa
1 year post-bacc 4.0
37Q MCAT without taking Organic (I'm in it now)

Done shadowing and volunteering, with a little lab exposure as well

Any ideas?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!😀😀

Your state schools if you really just HAVE to apply this year, for whatever reason. But an even better idea is to wait and apply next year right at the beginning of the cycle. The entire application process, with the endless waiting and rejections and waiting and -- wait for it (you should be used to it by now) -- more waiting, is draining and soul-sucking and miserable (for the most part anyway). No sense in doing it more than once if you have it in your power to avoid that. Good luck to you, no matter what you decide.

Also fyi, the mods really hate it when you post the same thing in multiple forums.

And, to clarify my post further, if you are concerned about being "too old" or something similarly ridiculous, and that's why you want to apply for this year so badly, don't. There are plenty of people your age and much older who apply every year. One year is nothing if you actually get something out of it.
