Edit: Also one thing to mention, I am a little strapped on money, so its a bit of a hit to apply for primary and secondaries. I just want to know realistically if I have a decent-good chance to get interviews and accepted or if it's slim to none.

Computer science GPA won't mean anything but you have a competitive GPAc and mcat. Your science GPA is on the light side. Also try to get more shadowing hours and a DO lor. You should get some love if you apply broadly and early.

Good luck OP

Edit: schools to apply to VCOM, LECOM, KCOM, CUSOM, MUCOM, and any instate and new schools

Do I absolutely have to shadow a DO? I don't have a ton of time until application and I don't really know where exactly I can find a D.O to shadow to be honest.

Also, for early, do you mean around June 15th or so?

Finding a DO to shadow is 100% on you. It's not the hardest thing in the world. You maybe don't NEED a DO lor but at least have some shadowing in by the time you complete your secondaries.

Oh okay so for my primary application, it's okay if I don't have a D.O. I can just shadow one in time for my secondaries? That's a lot more time for me to find someone.

Yeah just be sure to dedicate time to it. There will be lots of other opinions but I had maybe 50 hours MD and MD lor when completing primaries, then 20 hours DO between primaries and secondaries.

Okay I shall! However do you have any schools I should apply at, with these stats? ^.^

I had 2 MD letters and no DO letters. 2 interviews to DO schools which both resulted in acceptances. I'm not sure if it kept me from getting interviews at other schools or not but I don't feel that it is an absolute necessity to have a DO letter. However, if you can get one it definitely would not hurt your chances.

I am actually going to go shadow an MD soon I believe, so you think that should be fine? ^.^ I don't know exactly where to find a D.O in my area! I might be able to spot one out just going through hospitals but I don't know if I can just go up to one and get a shadow position.

Below is a link to help you find a DO in your area.

As long as the rest of your app is solid I don't think that only having an MD letter will hold you back. Like I said though, if you can get a DO letter it would be beneficial.

Well my application is above. Also I am going to add either DO or MD hours shadowing + Rec letter from them. Do you think that is enough to apply to some schools and have a decent/good chance to get an interview? 😳

Your scgpa is low.
You said above that you have shadowed MD: how many hrs? LOR?
MCAT is fine for DO.
URM (Hispanic won't hurt)
The computer programming background could add to app IMO
Need to beef up volunteer hours.
Do you have any interesting hobbies or life experiences? These would help.

IMO, you have a decent shot if you apply to newer schools and schools in your region.

Not to many hours yet, around 30 but yes I can get a letter of rec.
How many more hours should I beef up with because I don't have much time before the application is due correct?(June 15th or so)
Interesting hobbies? I mean not really, I program a bit for people such as setting up websites or stuff like that, however that's again non-medical D:

Also can you name the new schools I should apply too?

Probably could get to the 100hr volunteering mark by then. Having non-medical interests and skills will help make you standout against other applicants. I would list it in your app under non-medical experiences/work. The physician letter from MD will add to app even though it's not DO.
New schools: MUCOM, ACOM, BCOM, CUSOM might be some others I'm not remembering.
Best of luck to you. I think you have a pretty good shot at some interviews.

Non-medical interests are key.
