Where should I apply to?
Started by adizzle87
All of your state schools and private schools (like Case Western) that give no preference to state residency. I don't think any out-of-state schools will look at your app, because with 10-15 spots for out of staters, they usually pull really amazing candidates.
Great DAT though, good luck!

If I were you I would apply everywhere because you have really strong, competitive DAT scores, which may compensate a little for your gpa. there is no harm in trying. You probably would have a better chance at your state school but give it a shot.

haha, i hear a lot of people advocate Case but I heard straight from a Case rep that they have some sort of 3.2 GPA cutoff eckk. But alrighty, crossing Minnesota and UW off my list...I'm thinking about applying to 20 schools, would that be overkill or very appropriate with my GPA?
I would say, if u can afford it then apply to 20 or watever schools you want.... Since ur GPA and DAT are the first things schools look @ in ur app... it makes sense to apply to alot of schools esp w/ the low GPA... but good luck man
About the number of schools.... what even is a normal amount of schools to apply to?
Not sure what the normal amount is, but I applied to 4 schools my first cycle and got into Case on waitlist (but declined) in June. This time I applied to 10 schools, received 4 interview requests (one pre-Dec and canceled the rest), 1 acceptance. The more the better I guess, but you don't want to look desperate either if they ask where else you applied and you say 'all 51 schools'

Did you only attend one interview, and how many more schools do you think would have invited you for interview?
