Just looking for advice on where to apply...

I have a 3.7 and haven't gotten my MCAT scores back, but I expect to get about a 30 on it. I have pretty much the standard research and volunteering. So I'm basically an average pre-med.

I'm a Michigan resident, so I'll definitely be applying to all the Michigan schools.

What I'm looking for in a school is somewhere NOT CONSERVATIVE, no really small towns, and it'd be nice if I could be somewhere that doesn't have yucky winters like we do here in Michigan, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I also think minimal class time would be good for me, because I study better on my own.

So, any suggestions or thoughts on where you think I'd like to go for med school?

Not what you want to hear re: winters, but you should definitely look anywhere in your region, the Midwest, where you might be competitive and where people from your state tend to be accepted.
