I just graduated last Fall and after doing a lot of research and thinking I want to pursue a career in medicine.
I'm an international student, born and raised in Indonesia, but I did my undergraduate in the US. I majored in Biomedical Engineering at one of the top ranked universities for this major.
I didn't try hard in college and had to deal with some personal issues my senior year which hit my GPA hard. I've started preparing for the MCAT and plan on taking in May. I have undergraduate research experience, good ECs and volunteer experience in an ER.
I was wondering what med schools in the Caribbean should I apply to. From what I've seen it seems like SGU/Ross/AUC are super long shots. Will they even consider a less than 3.0 GPA with solid MCATs?
Thanks
