I have a background in brain research and hope to continue along this path if possible, I am considering USUHS as well. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks again

Also, would it be unwise to apply to 30-40 schools? Its the last year my MCAT is valid and I want to apply to at least 20 but I think I might get swarmed by secondaries.

30-40 is absolute overkill. Do 20 (maybe 22???) and do them wisely.

You will be swarmed by secondaries, but casting a wide net is good in your case since your GPA is a bit low and you are applying late. Plus, you don't want that sweet MCAT score to expire on ya.

You really only want to do this app once, so make it count. Are you a vet? If so, USUHS might be a good place to apply if you don't mind tacking on a significant commitment.

Why no UW? You're a resident and seems like you'd be competitive, especially with their weighted GPA.

Im definitely applying at UW, I have been waitlisted there before. I just want to cast a wide net as they say, and hope to have backups. Thanks guys.

I am not a vet but my mom is a civilian army doc and she is an attending for USUHS residents, that probably wont help but she said I should look into it.
