hiii all ,
i live in orlando ,FL ,and i wanna take my PharmD from the UF ,u guys know whats the best idea ? if i have my pre-pharmacy at any community college here in orlando or should i take them in th UF for better acceptance into the pharmD program ?? what do u guys think ?

appreciate all replies .thx

If I were you, I'd take them in UF if possible. It's always best to take your pre-reqs in a Univ that has a Pharmacy Program. If it was a private school, you could go to a community college because of the expenses, but since UF is public why not just go there?

Are you sure that UF will let you into the classes just for pre-pharm? I think that they give people are hard time about that?

If not UF, then it does not matter. I once talked to the admission people there, and they said that it did not matter, and that the specific grades were more important than anything else.

Personally, I would take them the courses at the place where you think that you will do the best. UF is about high GPA in their prereq courses listed on their website (nothing else!!) and a high PCAT. If you do not have those two, any extracurriculars will not even matter. Even if you worked 10 years as a pharm tech.

You don't have to specify. You just sign up for college and start taking classes. Who knows, maybe he will be there an extra year or till his b.s. untill he is accepted.

I wouldn't go around telling the admissions office that you only want to finish pre-reqs and I doubt you will be asked.
