I wanted to start studying for the DAT. I will probably start my dental school (if everything goes smoothly) by fall of 2010.I finished my bachelor in 2006 and had a horrible gpa (2.6). Now I wanted to take some random courses to improve my gpa or go do a M.A. in biotechnology (if I don't get into dental then I could work in a Pharmaceutical). At this point, I would like to start studying for DAT but I am not sure where to begin or what I should to to get myself mentally prepared????

Start with the Kaplan Blue book and go from there. If you understand all the general chemistry and organic material in the Kaplan book you should score at least a 20 in those two sections. For the biology, I would supplement the Kaplan book with the Cliffnotes AP biology book.

Depending on how you study, you can tackle each section at a time or do a little of each everyday. For me, I studied one section at a time and when I was done each section I would move on the next.
