hi, wondering where I can find comprehensive information about schools that offer MA's in various psychology fields (i.e. general education, counseling, clinical), etc.. I can find lots of information on doctoral programs, but nothing on 2 yr programs. Focusing on psychology, not social work. Also, super appreciative if I can get recommendations for CA and Bay Area schools. also, thoughts on professional/institutes vs. universities, such as reputation, ability to get into Ph.D. program, job credentials and licensuring ability post grad? Thanks! Can also PM me, as well.

This might be an option:

The Distance Learning Master of Science can be undertaken as a terminal degree program, or as a bridge to the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Graduates of the program who have demonstrated academic competence will automatically be admitted to our Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology as second year students.

M.S. in Psychology (distance learning) (Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, Palo Alto University)

The M.S. is by distance; the Ph.D. is not. And this is bridging into the PGSP Ph.D., not the PGSP-Stanford Consortium Psy.D.

Work on your experience and get good recommendations then apply straight to the PhD. Palo Alto is great. There are plenty of programs that will accept students into their PhD with a BA.

The Consortium between Palo Alto and Stanford is weaker than you think. The Stanford is too psychiatric and PAU is straight clinical. Plus if you want to ever get tenure one needs a PhD. Anyway, one of the people who made Stanford's psych program what it is, Zimbardo, is at PAU.
