concepts of what?....I'm assuming you mean pathophys (the how and why of every disease you have learned..)....you can try goljans rapid review path book and/or his audio CD's that you can get off of ebay

I think I know what you are talking about. You are probably talking about a simple description of a pathology concept or physiology concept like: this leads to that and that leads to this, and on and on....

I like to learn things like this and I usually write out notes from pathology or phys like this when I read robbins and guyton. Unfortunatly, not many books that I have found do this and they make you put the peices together on your own. Which sucks b/c it takes forever and sometimes you dont know if you have the mechanism totally correct. But, on the other hand its is good b/c you are teaching yourself how it fits together.
I think the reason that people like goljan so much is because he does this for you and spits it at you so you understand the disease and the how and why at the same time. He connects Concepts that you "already know" in sequences that make since.

Pathophys for boards and wards is a book that I just looked at like a week ago and I think it is pretty good. The only bad thing that I found in the little time I looked at it is, that it requires alot of previous knowledge about the concept. So it would be good if you just read robbins and want to know how things fit, but if you are real rusty and/or havnt learned it completly, then some of the things are hard to understand.
I wish they would make a book that teaches you the disease then shows you how it connects to a concept.
Hope this helps
