where to get affordable malpractice coverage?

I'm about to move to a part-time position that is offering to cover my malpractice by docking my pay, if I'd like that. It sounds a lot easier but I feel like I should shop around and get quotes before I just go with this option.

Has anyone else ever purchased their own malpractice insurance and do you have any recommendations on where to find it for a good price? A search of the forum isn't turning up much.
