Hey guys,

Where would you leave your suitcase when you go on an interview if the interview ends at 3pm and the hotel's check out time is 12pm? Do they usually have a place where you can leave your stuff? or would you just pay for an extra night? Any inputs are greatly appreciated👍

The desk at the hotel should be able to hold your stuff for you. You could probably bring it to school with you and have the admissions staff stash it somewhere. Failing that, find a trustworthy looking bum and promise him a ham sammich' and a 40 oz of malt liquor.

Make sure you contact the school first regarding storage for your suitcase. Some schools will accommodate you... others may not. Seems like a hassle to bring your suitcase with you to the interview, you have other things to focus on rather than finding a place for your suitcase. If all else fails, most hotels will hold your bags for you until you get back like armorshell said.

If you use a trash bag instead of fancy luggage no one will steal it.

If you're flying in to the interview from another town, won't you have a rental car that you can leave it in?

Renting a car is expensive. Most people use public transportation and taxis

the ppl at the interview usually provide you with a place to put all your belongings

just wear your suit on the plane and put an extra pair of underwear in your pocket then just through on the new pair the next day for the interview.

That sounds like a good idea. But where should you place your 1st pair of underwear during the interview? Maybe place it in a paper bag with your name on it and leave it in the admissions office waiting room?

Jeez, haven't you kids ever gone anywhere without mom and dad taking care of all the details? Of course the hotel will keep your bags for you. You won't even have to tip the bellman (if there is one) when you pick them up after the interview.

Depending on how big the city is, the train station or airport sometimes has lockers to rent to put your suitcase in, if that is an option.

Do you really need a suitcase? I have a leather bound portfolio thingy to hold a pen, scratch paper and any literature that I may get (financial aid, school/city facts).......I don't want to embarrass myself!
