Hello everybody 🙂
First, I would like to thank u all in advance for any help.
Second, after getting accepted to a DDS program and being on a visitor visa,
I would like to know if anyone could help me and tell me any info regarding changing my visa.
I don't know which is better, or to be honest which is less worse,
to change my status from the US, or to go back home to get the F1 visa 😕

I am in the same boat and after discussion with different ppl I realized that every one will have different opinion on this thing. According to law if you intend to convert your B1/B2 in US you have to inform the immigration officer at the port of entry that you intend to enroll in a school and you already have multiple admission offers from schools and you will chose a school only after visiting the school. If the officer agress he will mark a prospective student notation on your I-94 card (the point is that you have to convice him). If you are granted prospective student status while entering US then you can convert your visa very easily provided every thing is in order. But I have friends in NYU who came here for NBDE without being marked prospective student and they converted their stauts, although it took them 5-6 months and the process was also stressful becuse by the time USCIS makes any decision on your application you would have overstayed your 6 months period, so in case of rejection you would endup over stayed and you will have a very bad impression on consulate back home incase you decide to come again in future.
The summary is that change of status from B1/B2 to F1 in US is possible, but it would be like putting your future on risk as if you are denied you will have difficulty in getting any type of nonimmigrant visa even from your own country.

My case is further complicated as I am waiting for a family based immigrant visa priority date to become current. My chances of getting visa from my country are very low unless my priority date becomes current and I counsal process for immigrant visa, so a change of status here would be a better option for me and then to do adjustment of status once the priority date is current. Cousalates become very strick in granting nonimmigrant visas if they find that applicant is intending immigrant.
Now its your choice whichever way you go, but I would say getting visa from your country is best if you can get it, as even if your status is changed here you will have to stamp new visa if you travel outside of US
Good luck

Thanks a lot Xerostomia for ur detailed reply,
This is my third time visiting the US on a visitor visa, I don't know if that would make any difference.
I was told that it's better for me to go back home and come back on another student visa for a proceptorship for example and then I can convert it here to the other DDS student visa.
It maybe a good idea but, the proceptorship I could apply to will begin on January the 7tH and I don't know if I have time to go back home to get the F1 for this or even if they would approve that in such a short period of time.
wish u the best of luck 😉

Can you tell me the details of your Proceptorship as I have got into BU, but they don't seem to issue me I-20 before March, so I want to apply early through another program. School also told me to go for this option if I need earlier I-20, but the thing is that I want a cheapest program from a good university, as you know I am doing this only for change of visa staus.
As you said that your proceptorship will start on 7th of Jan and if you are a muslim like me than I am afraid you won't be able to make up to 7th Jan because of name clearance etc. But the good thing is that if you can schedual your visa interview before 7th Jan, but couldn't make upto perceptorship you will have to bring a new I-20 that you would have from the DDS program.

It is a proceptorship in an implant dentistry from LLU and it would coast 7,800$ for three months.
I did not get the I-20 for it yet I 'm still waiting on the papers.
But do u think that if I could make the interview before Jan the 7th then I should be fine ??
