Where You See Optometry in the Future

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've found a great resource for my preparation/investigation into an optometry career that I highly recommend others looking in to.

http://www.odwire.org/forum/forums/69-Pre-Optometry

In addition to SDN I find these to be very good resources. Far more informative than any 2 hour shadowing session will ever be.

Is there anyway you can copy and paste the article here or send a diff link? I don't have privileges to view the article and am really interested in reading it.

i give jason k 2 days to respond to this with a vile commnet

Are you high? What does that even mean? Why on Earth would I respond to this with a "vile comment?" Furthermore, when have I ever responded to a legitimate question with a "vile comment?" I was politely asked not to repost from ODWire - so I won't. Pre-ops have the ability to create accounts and access the pre-op forum on ODWire. If someone else wants to post it, I think it would be a good thing - you guys should see a lot more of what goes on over there. If you did, you'd realize that docs with my views are largely the norm on that site. The posting that goes on at SDN is mostly pre-ops feeding off their own fantasies. The stuff on ODWire is a lot more founded in reality, unless is a post by someone affiliated with the AOA, then it's going to be utter nonsense that is put out by people who have no foothold in reality. Perhaps you should aspire to work at the AOA.

BTW, what the hell is a commnet?

Most optometry programs don't cover spelling - they assume you've picked that up already.

.....and I didn't go to ICO.

Again, you should be using your time to learn about he profession your about to sink yourself into instead of trying to disprove the statements made by a practicing OD who knows a lot more than you do about everything on this planet....except maybe for feminine hygiene products and the contents of the latest issue of "Teen Beat."
