I think it depends on the cost. If you don't mind spending an extra 3000-4000 dollars in addition to the amount you have to already spend had you apply earlier on more airplane rides, accommodation, application fees, etc. because you have to apply very broadly at this stage, then apply now.

If you want to save money, then consider holding off till next year and in the mean time, do other things that can increase your chances: more shadowing, working at a clinic, missions, etc.

Just curious, how did you have such a high GPA with so many Bio classes but get a 20 for bio? I feeel the two should be connected.
