I have 2 free slots for 2nd semester of junior year. I will be taking Org 2 and Biochem during this time.

I can take 2 of the 3 classes: psych, sociology, genetics.

I want to take psych and soc for the MCAT but I already took them in a local college and received A and A- but the classes did not cover much. Will retaking them look bad or does it matter?

I can also take genetics in hopes of replacing the F I received during high school for better DO chances. With the F, I have probably be around a 3.5-3.6. With it replaced, a 3.75. Will this make me overqualified for DO?

So... which 2 of the 3 classes to take? Do I aim for the higher MCAT or the better DO chances?

I wouldn't retake classes you got A's in, they'll probably just think you're trying to pad your GPA. And I doubt retaking those classes will help you much for the MCAT, they're easily self-studied. Take genetics.

@Lannister Will it still look like padding if i took them in high school? That is 3 years ago by the time Im in 2nd semester of junior year.

I'm not sure but I would assume that when you took them is irrelevant, seeing as the end result is still GPA padding.

No, it's not repeating a course that makes it look like padding, it's repeating a course that you got an A in.

@Lannister ok ill just take easy math courses and get those As.
I will just study for MCAT with EK

Thank you so much for your fast responses <3 Very much appreciated.
