Hello SDN,
I wanted to ask you guys for advise. Im an MSIII in a DO school. I am trying to make a list of programs that I should rotate at and apply to. I'm not looking for a flashy name or great research funding. I have never been interested in research personally so it won't make a big difference. I am looking for quality of training. I know stats are important so here are mine: again i went to a DO school. Got mostly Bs first 2 yrs. Mostly As so far 3rd yr, USMLE step 1 228/98. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Btw Iocation is not an issue. Happy to move to get good training.

We're essentially identical except that I'm at an MD school. Suffice it to say that I've had a pretty good amount of success with interviews this year. I applied mostly to midwestern programs, and there are lots of great options around. I don't know if/how much being a DO will hurt you, but I've seen quite a few DO students on the interview trail.

As for specific programs, I found Louisville, Kansas, most of the Chicago programs, Iowa, Kentucky, and Oklahoma to be pretty nice places. SLU is also one to consider, for it's currently on what seems to be a significant and rapid trend of improvement.
