which bio is on the test?

I am taking general biology now (hundred level).
two of my friends r taking cell bio now.
one of them took gen bio before but the another friend didn't take gen bio.
the guy who took gen bio will take MCAT and told me that both cell bio and gen bio will be on Mcat.
This other friend who didn't take gen bio but taking cell bio, told me that gen bio won't be on PCAT and general bio is waste of time. i think she was saying general bio is lower level than cell bio, so cell bio covers gen bio or something.

i was just wondering if i am wasting time taking general biology as she said.
which bio is gonna be on DAT? general bio or cell bio?

i found that every sigle bio class i took helped me on the DAT. from general bio (classifications, mitosis), evoltionary bio(genetic drift, migration and stuff), cell bio, plant bio, biochem, physio blah blah blah. take whatever you can, and when you are studying for the test your memory will kick in

what on earth are you talking about? why should you care what they say about the MCAT and the PCAT. you're taking the DAT. that being said, i think the DAT covers what you learn in general biology (not cell biology). yes, there is some cell biology on the DAT, but it won't be something you haven't already covered in general biology. cellular biology is a small topic you discuss in general biology but you'll go into a lot of detail about it in your cellular biology class. i hope that made sense. its a little early for me right now. *yawn* 🙂

I am transferring to 4 year university next semester. So it may sound very ignorant but I don't know what classes I need to take during Junior and Senior year to get Bachlor's degree for biology. I m in CC now so I m only taking general studies, so I have no idea how the classes after general studies are designed.

you seem to be on the right track so far... you might want to check with the university that you are transferring to, if the classes youre taking this semester and next semester will transfer over. you don't want to take a super hard class only to find out that you'll only get elective credit for it. 🙂

yea all those bio courses are required for the major. check to see what you need to graduate and also check to see what are required for the schools you want to get into.
