I have two options right now. I can take Applied Calculus I (MATH 146) OR Calculus I (MATH 165).

Applied Calculus I: Limits, derivatives, integrals, exponential and logarithmic functions and applications

Calculus I: Limits, continuity, differentiation, Mean Value Theorem, integration, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and applications

Thanks!

the standard calculus course (#165), the first one looks like an overview course for non-science majors.

how the hell do you learn calculus w/ out the fundamental theorem?

2nd one. 1st one sounds like something for nurses or non-science majors. A good rule of thumb is to never take anything "Applied" it's usually not the right class :p. Unless it's Physio/Anat.

It really just depends on the school. Some schools are fine with Buisness Calc whereas others may want Calc 1. Call the schools to which you want to apply and ask. If they say the lower-level one is acceptable, then take it.
