I'm trying to get few LoR and improve my GPA. I'm just wondering which would you guys take?

2 bigger classes (70-90 students per class) that seem easier A but maybe hard to get LoR due to class size and one of the prof seems to be a pervert hippy - he flirts with all the girls.

2 smaller classes (30 students per class) but seem to be harder to get an A (boring stiff professor on ratemyprofessor) but maybe easier to get LoR.

is it an option to take one big and one small class?!

I took a hard class with over 300 students in it, got an A, had the prof write me a LOR (even though he didn't know who I was) and I have gotten into my top two. So don't over think this stuff, if you do, you'll end up freakin out way earlier than most of us.

DDSjunior: Thanks. I think I'll just dive in and take the big class. Hopefully I can still get a LoR from that perverted professor.

Yes.

if i were you, i'd take the bigger class, get the good grade but just make a point to get to know the professor. Ask for help on something you don't understand, stop by his office, but that way you'll get a good grade and make an impression on him.

Does it matter whether or not the if the class size is large or small? The prof will only get to know you if you visit his/her office frequently during office hours or chat with him/her after class. Take the class that you can earn a good grade in and will prepare you for the sciences in dental school. Getting a good LOR from a prof only takes a little effort. Stay focused in class and get those As!!

Good Luck!!

I'll second that. The more you get to know them, the more they will want to help you and be pulling for you throughout the application process.

its all about the professor knowing you. go ask questions, if you don't have one go make one up. Ask about things you miss on homework/quizzes/tests. The Prof will notice the effort. I would also go to him after a little while when you have some semblance of a relationship and tell him you want him to write you a LOR and ask what they expect of you in order to get one.

I remember feeling like such an idiot asking for a LOR; DON'T! That is part of their job, if they tell you no, you probably don't want them to write you one anyway.
