After this Summer Session finishes, if you "rewind" my transcript to the last 32 credits, it will land smack dab in the middle of a semester. That semesters has 2x As, 1x B+, 1x B-, 1x C+. Everything past that has been a 4.0. Counting this Summer Session, that semester was 36 credit hours ago... so which 4 credits will be taken out? Is it arbitrary? And I know they will still see the grades - I'm just curious about how it would affect the "official" GPA they accept.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

To be perfectly honest, I had to look up what the "32 credit rule" was and...I don't think this is a thing. It may be an unofficial thing that a select few schools use to look at students who are reinventing themselves, but by and large most schools do not use this in consideration of applicants. That being said, given the nature of this idea one would think that they'd take the best possible GPA into consideration. However, I wouldn't rely on this to get into medical school.

Thank you, Dr. Jan I. Tor! Yes, I know it is only a handful of schools that have adopted this. I don't even know if I will apply to them yet. Just seeing if there are any insights into this if I do decide to apply to them. :)
