Just for fun....what Pre-dental discussion catches the most fire?

A. What's a good safety school?
B. Does matter where I went to college? Community college credit?
C. I'm thinking about becoming either a brain surgeon or orthodontist (and the questioner is a sophomore in college)
D. Dental school vs Medical School admissions (my personal favorite)
E. What are my chances? (same sophomore with few grades and no DAT's)
F. I don't know why I didn't get accepted, I know I only have a 2.8 but I volunteered 1500 hours last semester
G. I'm thinking about switching from med to dental because it's easier

I'm going to have to go with either "What are my chances" or "Where should I apply." I won't go into WHY (but I could...), I'll just say it's about the most annoying thing I find on here.

I agree 100%.

It drives me crazy when they think they have no hope despite a 4.25 GPA and a 27AA/TS/PA and lots of ECs.

I say G catches the most fire but my personal favorite is C. Nothing like breaking the dreams of the uber young pre-docs.

Friday night I was out at a party when this incoming freshman tells me she is going to college to become a neurosurgeon lol. Made my night.

AMEN! if people are proud of their super-human accomplishments and want to brag i'll deal with it but dont mask it behind concern and make the rest of us non-robotic people have a panic attack

In addition to what residency is easiest to get into and/or can GPs make as much as Ortho . . . But those are usually in the residency forum.

what pisses me off is when a student with a near perfect 4.0 science gpa and near perfect DAT..tries to act humble in a fake way..they constantly say things such as "i'm not that smart" or "i'm not a genius" or "i dont really study that much"..its obvious that those ppl are soo fake and are just trying to act like they are the sh-i-t...there are lots of ppl like that at my school, who try to pull that look off..and im not tryin to be racist or anything..but ive noticed its almost always an asian lol

but I have a feeling you'd hate them if they were boasty as well... so hmm...
