Assuming you only have a bachelor's degree, what GPAs do most dental schools look at?

Cumulative Undergrad and cumulative science?

Also, when calculating your cumulative undergrad GPA, do you include science courses that you took after you graduated? For instance, if you graduated, then took the prereqs, would you include those classes in you cumulative undergrad GPA?

I got my confirmation, and it has all the GPAs (BCP, Science, etc) as with +/- and without +/-. Do you guys know which one they look at.

If your school gives out +/- grades then they'll look at those.

If they don't, then the adcoms can use the without column to reference the without column on the applications of other applicants whose schools do give out +/- grades.

Cum. undergrad is what they probably spend most time on. That's just from what I've seen. Each school is different and I don't doubt that there are some that put more weight on the science portion of the undergrad experience.

Do they also look at the trend of ur GPA? Like if someone bombed his first yr, and maintain A and B through out rest of undergrad, does he have pretty good chance? And will EC's be looked at when comparing appplicants?

You said earlier they most likely look at cumulative undergrad. Im an engineering student, so my classes have nothing to do with any kind of science. Think theyll still put an emphasis on cumulative undergrad?

hey, i dunno bout all schools, but i know UF does NOT look at ur plus minus grades, regardless of what your school uses. they told me cuz its not fair that some schools use it, and some dont. i know NOVA does use the plus/minus if ur school does. so i guess it depends on the school.

Does BCP GPA include biology classes for non-science major?

I'm almost possitive it does...🙂

if the class is listed under biology then it will count.
