I am thinking about buying the 2011 version instead of 2012 because of the review on amazon. What do you guys think?

I used the 2011 version and noticed the errata was shorted for 2011 than it was for 2012.

I think at the end of the day there is not going to be a huge difference. I glanced through a 2012 one and it didn't have anything massively different.

What about buying the 2013 edition on 1/16?

Also, 2011 isn't in color.

I bought 2011 FA during MS1. I will use the 2011 version until the 2013 comes out. I will then transfer all my notes over the the new one and use it for step studying.

I am only getting the errata list. Condensed study guide FTW!

nah,
I got 2012. Full color seems to be something most people enjoy, and I can annotate in the errata list. I will be annotating the crap out of it anyways so who cares if I have a slightly longer list to add in

Most of the errata are phrasing or formatting things anyways. If you know ANYTHING from the first two years it really shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I actually thought many of the errors were pretty significant.

Whichever FA copy you use, there will be pages and pages of errata, so it doesn't really matter.

I hate the term "errata." It sounds too dignified for meaning p*ss-poor editing.

Like which? Most I saw were mnemonic corrections or phrasing.
