which hospital(s) in the US has the best food both inside and also within walking distances?

I recall seeing a news magazine show that Harvard (mass general) had really nice food. U Maryland has awful food both inside and outside the hospital, unless you like Subway.

Definitely Tufts.

The food within the hospital is pretty good, but it's what's immediately outside that makes it so great: Chinatown on one side, Theater District on the other. Almost every kind of cuisine, every price range.

I don't know bout the food inside of U Maryland, but I definitely know that the food nearby is a whole lot better. Especially if you like seafood 😀 crabcakes and oyster shooters... yum!

As for food at other Baltimore hospitals, JH and GBMC is nasty... Mount Sinai food is decent enough... the guy working the grill totally rocks, hooked me up with my sandwiches

UCLA has a lot of good places to eat on and off campus. Michigan really sucks in this regard, in my opinion.

My vote would be for Elmhurst hospital in Queens. I have no idea how the food is in the hospital since I never ate there. If it is anything like the other city run hospitals the food is probably barely recognizable. However, the neighborhood has unbelievably good ethnic food from all over the world within a few blocks. You could probably do a month long rotation and have a different regional cuisine every day while walking less than 10 blocks for each meal.
