This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would like to change this answer... What happend when u got accepted by a dental program? What u do? Take theorical classes or work on pacients??

Hi, guys, I wonder if any of you could answer this question.

I believe all schools are hard to get in, but UCLA &
U Michigan are the hardest while BU & NYU are less harder than other schools, may be due to more no. of spots available.

i personally feel no school is easy to get admission into but it is also not impossible to get into any school.
it all comes down to ur ability and the kind of efforts you put in.

I do agree as well...but I do believe there should be no dental school rankings....It is baseless to rank dental schools...I think there is a huge discussion about this topic in some of the earlier postings!!!!!

Fido I agree

I don't think it is a ranking of a school that makes a better dentist, but it is individual that takes proper advantage of a given opportunity and make the best of it.

Let me give an example, On the Nerb (prostho/endo) [this is from hear say, not from official school or nerb]: some higher ranked schools had a passing rate of 75% on 1st try, and we at UIC had a passing rate of 90+% on 1st try. now this is a national standardize exam, so it goes to show you rankings do not translate to success of students as a whole

good luck
