Which is newer/more representative: AAMC self-assesment or Official Guide (3rd)

Title says it all

Thanks

AAMC SA shouldn't be used to predict test day performance. It is pretty oudated in terms of AAMC style questions. It is GREAT, however, to figure out where your content weaknesses lie.

The Official Guide has more up-to-date style questions but there's really not enough of them to take something away from it predictive wise either.

Agreed. SA has questions on most topics that could be tested. Official Guide covers the style of thinking the AAMC is moving towards in more recent MCATs.

I think the official guide is much better in quality and is more representative. Questions are fairly hard too!
