I know a lot of schools place a lot of weight on PAT whereas they normally count QR much less than other sections. I wonder if there is a rough consensus on the ranking of sections in terms of importance.

I may be off, but to my understanding it is as follows:

Total Sci > PAT > RC > QR

The PAT and RC can be interchanged depending on the school.

yea it def depends on the school, with PAT and RC being interchangable as noted above. i heard somewhere that UoP places a lot of emphasis on RC, for instance, and you pretty much need a 21+ on RC to be a competitive candidate (since its a 3 year program). i imagine its different elsewhere...

It depends on the schools, but of course SNS!, then RC, then PAT, QR..I guess...
