I know that some MD schools don't send out rejections until the very end of the cycle, but they stop interviewing in Dec. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone knew which schools those were or if there was another thread somewhere about this?

Thanks!

I know NYU stops interviewing this week (Dec 15th)

They stop interviewing this week or they are no longer sending any invites?

Stop interviewing. Last year the last interview was Dec 18th. So it is 100% likely they already stopped extending interviews.

Their website says interviews 'commence' in January, so maybe they don't put all the dates up at once?

That seems to be a typo or a misplaced statement. Makes no sense haha. On this page it says "Our interview season begins in September and concludes at the end of December" & the same thing was said on interview day if I recall correctly.

Yea, I'll take your word for it, I wonder if any other schools are on a similar schedule..

Wow, that's super soon

I think it's because they're doing admission a little differently this year, they're admitting everybody at once instead of doing it rolling. They want to send out admissions in January, so it makes sense that they have to stop interviewing now.

Last year they were rolling and had a similar timeline. I think it's mostly the result of the MMI format, which makes it super easy to fit a bunch of students into one day (18 are interviewed a day) so the need for a longer interview cycle is probably less.

If I had to guess, I'd say Pitt is on a similar schedule since they also release all decisions on a single day in January.

I believe Pitt's interviews end mid-late December, month of January for committee review, and decisions out Jan 31st. I don't recall the exact date for the last interview.
