Looking forward to selling some of my old MS1/MS2 review books in the coming weeks to the young'uns. However, I get the feeling that some resources might be worth keeping, rather than selling them for like 75 cents. Goljan RR Path? Underground Clinical Vignettes? My beloved Microcards? Pharmacology flash cards? HY Neuro? Are any of these or any other popular review books worth keeping for my clinical years?

Oh and my homemade First Aid seems to have won me over too, and I doubt I'll be throwing it away. Though the days of me treating that binder like a firstborn child are long over, I still feel a sense of loyalty to provide it with a nice home until I get the M.D. ... just in case. any. attending. pimps me. on. auto-antibodies. found. in. primary. biliary. cirrhosis.

The ones I would recommend keeping are

Rapid Review path
Costanzo/BRS phys

+/- Micro made ridiculously simple

Maybe the pharm cards... maybe not.

I never looked in any of my Step 1 books again. I think I sold all but FA because that book was too marked up. It's possible they might have some limited utility (RR Path maybe?) during 3rd/4th year, but who has time to use them on top of the clerkships and shelf studying? I'd much rather spend any free time at the gym or doing something for leisure/enjoyment.

Maybe the pharm cards... maybe not.

Bought some Pharm cards last year. Hated them. Never used them.

I peek at them again the other day, getting ready to sell them. They have the trade names right next to the name of the drug. And I actually know my Pharm now so I won't be trying to learn the first time from them - I'll be reviewing from them. So here I am keeping crap that I never even used.

Really really tempted to sell my Robbins, though... man that is going to pay for like 3 fill-ups at the gas station.

I kept my FA, netter, and BRS physiology. I think these three are like the 7 iron of medicine.

Netter for sure, and RR path. I've used both a fair amount as an M3/M4. I kept my First Aid and BRS phys as well, but not for any good reason.

I sold my Netter. No lie. Never looked back. I don't have a single book from M1-M2, not even FA. You can find anything online, the rest is just dead weight that will rapidly become increasingly irrelevant or below your level of competency.
