Which NBME first?

Hey guys. I was wondering, which NBME should I take first? My exam is about a month away and I want to take NBME 7, 11 and 12 but I don't know which one I should do first. Any advice is appreciated. 🙂

i plan on doing 7 -12 -11 ... take the avg of the 3 and that should give u an idea of what your score should be ..

I've heard that NBME 7 is the most accurate, so should I do that one closer to my exam date? Or should I do NBME 7 first and the rest later?

I'd also like some advice on this.

Right now i'm ~4 weeks out from the real test and an planning on taking an NBME this wednesday and two more at some point before my actual test.

By wed I will have been studying for about 2 weeks, completing my first pass of FA and all the questions in USMLErx.

For the second pass I plan on using UW random 46s and making another pass through FA as well as some goljan and secrets.

Is there any strategy as to which test I should take this wednesday (as well as when/which two other NBMEs I should take in the following weeks?)

Also, we had to take the CBSE test just prior to starting our board studying so I'm not sure if that plays a role in picking which NBMEs to take.

I decided to take 6 tomorrow. Still undecided on the next two though...

I'm planning on taking 12 next, followed by 7. Hope 6 goes well for you.

So far i've gone through all of Rx and im about halfway through UWorld, and i've done nbme 5 and 6. When you say "first pass" and "second pass" are you reading FA from cover to cover? How long does that take you?

Thanks. Just finished 6. Went better than I thought.

And yeah, my 'first pass' was finished yesterday and it was just over 2 weeks of First Aid, BRS, Goljan and all of RXr.

You did all of the over 3000 Rx questions and first pass of First Aid in about 2 weeks? Thats amazing.

So I took NBME 6 on wed. I was originally planning on taking 2 more before my test (thats in three weeks) but don't know if I should just take one more instead and either way - when should I take the next one and then the third (if i end up taking a third).

I'm going to get through world in the next couple weeks which should be done a few days before the actual test then I will be just reviewing equations, micro, other high yield stuff that seems to escape my memory quickly.

Does it seem reasonable to do another practice test in about a week or so and if I get my goal or above on that to not do another before the test?
