which NBMEs to do

I'm taking 2 NBMEs this weekend...which ones out of 7, 11, and 12 should I do? I plan on doing the left over one 1 week before my exam and would rather it be a *easier* one so I don't freak myself out with a low score. Any suggestions?

These are the 3 that I took. I thought that 7 was easiest, but that could be because I took it last. Just out of curiosity, why are you taking 2 in one weekend? I feel like most ppl spread them out so they can see the progression. With having them so close, I'm not sure how much new information that would give you. If it were me, I'd try to evenly spread them out over the rest of your study time. Just a thought.

I'm meant to say taking 2 back to back to simulate a full exam. I want to test my stamina as well. Thanks for the input - iv'e heard 11 and 12 were pretty hard...do you think they are alot to do back to back?

I wouldn't care about the stamina thing that much. You know you will be tired. I did 2 in a row one day just because I didn't want to waste money on the exams and then not do them. It isn't any big shocker. You'll be tired and a large chunk of your day will be gone. Presumably, you put mental effort forth while studying normally for lots of time and I don't know how that is much different than taking 8 blocks of 50 questions.

That being said, 7, 11 and 12 are considered the better ones. 6 isn't bad. I took 7 and 12 in one day and had a 12 point increase from NBME 7 -> 12. I felt that the questions were more similar to NBME 12 on the real exam though. There were less of the factoid type q's for me. (Everyone is different)

Would you suggest doing 12 then the week before the test and try out 7 and 11 this weekend?
