I sent out my AMCAS, but I take the MCAT in August, I wanted to see which schools will send me a secondary now based solely on GPA (I know Miami does). I appreciate any response from anyone that might know from experience with the following schools.

thanks

I take it you're a Florida state resident (or at least I hope you are if you're applying to UF, FSU, USF, and UM).

I applied to many of the same schools that you did and did not find that any sent a secondary without the MCAT score being submitted prior. In fact, I wasn't even aware that Miami sends out secondaries without your MCAT score.....

If schools do so, it's a sign that their preliminary screening methods aren't nearly as stringent as most other schools because your MCAT is such a vital tool, and not to consider that before giving out a secondary means they are probably reeeally interested in getting that fat $100 secondary fee from you most of all. That's my thinking.

Yeah, I'm a FL resident, go to U of Miami... I actually heard from the PreMed advisor there that some schools (e.g. Miami) do this, maybe she was wrong. So that means I'm going to have to wait until October to start getting secondaries, that sucks.
