Which one looks better?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do both.

And make sure you have plenty of clinical ECs in addition. Volunteering at the Red Cross is no substitute for volunteering or working in a clinic or hospital with direct patient contact.

Depends, are you using this as your volunteer experience, or pt. contact experience? If the latter, go ahead and take the job. I had to work through college, so I mixed pt. contact w/ getting paid.

Nm, just reread the lifeguard part. But yeah, as the other poster said, do both, and mix in some clinical setting experience down the road

I already volunteer in the ER 8 hours a week, I just wanted to do this as another activity

The lifeguard deal is nothing more than a job. Nothing wrong with that at all, though.

I would probably opt for the paid gig.
