I don’t have any contact to help me shadow so I’ve been applying around to do it and I got 4 hours of family medicine, 4 hrs of pediatrics oncology.
Through my volunteering I was able to meet a surgeon who let me get 40 hrs of different types of surgery with him and his colleagues (pre op and post op included)

Now, I was told to choose between one of these, which one should I do? Probably something that’s close to primary care?

Ortho

Neurology & Sleep Medicine

Cranio-Facial & Plastic Surgery

Urology

Complex Care

Infectious Disease

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Endocrinology

Rheumatology

Do whatever interests you. You’re splitting hairs if you’re looking for specifics on who to shadow imo.

Yeah, pick what interests you. Maybe more than one. It would be cool to shadow a facial surgery

Primary care is best for shadowing.
Short of that, any office practice that manages patients over a long time is acceptable for our purposes.
The place is Gillette Children's and I think rheumatology or complex care would manage patients for some time.
