I am taking a class this summer, but Im not sure if it should be physics or organic. I have no idea which to choose. I have had a short, one chapter intro to organic, so im thinking maybe I should take the class sooner than later. Any suggestions?

I had to choose between two and I chose to take physics in summer couple of years ago. At the time I was scared of both . I somehow decided to take physics and I took organic in regular semester.
Today I feel much comfortable with organic and I am still scared of physics.
I dont know if this is going to help you but I thought I will share my experience.

Thanks, I am also scared of both classes, which is why the decision is so hard for me.

I would suggest that you take physics in the summer. you need time to study for organic. It also depend on the professor who teach these courses. I think you should take Orgo during the regular semester for believe me you will need time to understant the mechanisms. as you can see, I did not ssay you will need more time to memorize every equation. Don't try to memorize organic, trust it will not be in you advantage in the end. for me I found most of organic reactions/mechanisms similar in some forms

I disagree. I took Organic during the summer (both semesters in ONE summer no less). It was the only class I took, so I really had time to study it and learn it well-I even went on to teach it!

The down-side was that I really didn't have a summer that year. All I did was go to class, go to work, and study!

I took both semesters of organic in summer school, and I recommend this over physics. Organic is a lot more time-consuming, so if you have nothing to do that summer besides study and go to class, then its better to get it out of the way. From what I hear, organic will really mess up your semester if taken during the regular academic year. Physics is just a bunch of conceptual problems and not much studying, and not worth ruining a summer over.

Organic or Physics or anything else math related are not the great subjects to take during summer time...

"This past summer I started out in Summer I taking Physics I and Calc II, I dropped Calc II the first day and made a D in Physics I. In Summer II I signed up for the same thing, but after I failed my first calculus test I dropped calculus again and ended up with a C in Physics. I don't suggest anyone doing what I did. I will never do that again. Because the class is 10x harder in the summer than the regular semester. They don't cut **** out. You cover everything you would in a regular semester but in 5 weeks." johnny.
