This may be a silly question, however, I was wondering which is more practical and/or useful.

I'm looking for a smartphone as I don't want to carry a PDA along with a phone.

so Just wanted to get your thoughts before I go venturing out there.

Do you recommend getting a Blackberry, iPhone, Palm, or windows based phones?

Thanks!

Well, really depends on two important things: How much memory you'll want and how much internet availability you'll want. If your device will connect with WiFi, fine....but if your phone connects to the internet through your service it will cost you an arm and leg if not through a WiFi connection. Palm is a PDA....not a phone. Palm is a good PDA but it's easier to swap around programs with windows based users...Palm programs aren't as popular as windows based. The Palm Trio and Palm T/X are good PDA's..but if you only want one device....any windows based phone with bluetooth and WiFi will probably do you okay. Many smart phones don't have WiFi and you can only connect by logging on the web and paying a silly $/kb download fee. Make sure your phone has removable memory...in the form of an SD card. Some phones are still limited to the amount of memory..others have +5GB which is plenty. The Motorola Q series....good phones but don't have WiFi (the Q9m doesn't) If you don't plan on using the internet too much....I would suggest a windows based phone with good memory to support the medical programs you will want to get.

memory i can always use a microSD card so I wasn't too worried about that.

Personally, I'd rather carry one device around that would be used as both my PDA and Phone.

Thus, I was looking into either a Blackberry or Palm Treo and/or iPhones.

Recently I heard that the most commonly used softwares are being made for all 3 of these phones and so I wanted to know is which is most practical and easy to use and most recommended?
