I just found out that the residency program I'm going into has a PDA allowance. Does anyone know how much that might be? And which PDA is good for residency and personal life?

A small form factor PDA will be useful especially during ward rounds and daily clinical work in the hospital. Something like the iPaq 1940 or 4150 will be great, if you are looking at the WM2003; or the Tungsten E or T5 if you prefer Palm OS. ANything bigger than that is not practical, for instance the Dell Axim x50v or iPaq 4700 (although they may have the best VGA screens around)... furthermore, softwares from developers like Skyscape are not really VGA-aware, so no point spending a lot of money if you are basically using your PDA as your medical reference (peripheral brains).
