Which REU should I choose?

I've been accepted into the SURE program at SUNY Buffalo, and the Undergraduate Pipeline Network at the University of New Mexico SOM. I'm not sure which program to commit to; I have no preference for location, the money is about the same and neither program will tell me what project I will be working on, until I commit.

What factors should I consider in my decision?

Okay, push and find out what research you’re working on because ... that’s insane. At least get a slightly better idea. Then the answer to this question is ... What research are you more interested by? But also ... Where do you want to spend your summer? No preference?
