Okay I need some advice on what schools to apply to with these stats and how many!!

AA:18 OC:19 GC:19 Bio:19 PAT:17 RC:17 QR:15 GPA: 3.65 (science)

Do you even think my chance of getting in are good??

I have like 24 schools that are on my list of possibilities to apply to. I am a Washington State resident. How many do you think I should apply to and any recommendations on specific schools that I would be good for the stats I have?

I think 24 is too many to apply to!! How many schools do people usually apply with average scores like mine?

Please help!!! Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated.

lol...your joking right... You need at least a 3.95 in your science to get in...lol

You don't think I can get in anywhere with my stats unless I had a 3.95 - are you kidding me? Do you think every admitted applicant scores perfect in every section? LOL.
Not all schools are looking for those students who score all 20's + and have no character or social skills to bring with them!

I think he was kidding by saying a 3.95 is required for admission...****, at least I hope he was 🙁

Great job on the DAT and I'm sure you'll get a handful of interview invites with that GPA. As always, a high GPA (3.5 +) will get you in anywhere. 👍

24 is too many....you'll be spending A LOT of money for application process fee, AADSAS fees, possibly secondary application fees...and if you get interviews, you'll have to pay for traveling expenses...

There really is no average number of schools you apply to with your stats. You must think about where you want to go- I'd suggest narrow down to about 10...and then narrow down from there to save you money and time.

Some criteria that I used to narrow down to my choices are 1) location and 2) program reputation, and 3) school's acceptance stats/out-of-state student admittance. For example, with my stats (pretty similar to yours), I wouldn't apply to Harvard because the probability of them rejecting me is very high. Choose schools that accept students with similar stats as you. Cost may be factor- but I wouldn't put it as one of the top priorities..since they all cost a fortune. I took a risk and only applied to 3 schools- I had same AA as you, 19 in PAT, and about the same GPA. Of the three schools I applied to, 2 accepted me, 1 waitlisted me with no interview. So- I'd imagine you'll hear back from some schools provided that you apply soon.

Hope this helped. 🙂

AADSAS #: ?? We'll see come 6/7/05....
Cum. GPA: 3.0
Sci. GPA: 2.7
DAT (AA/TS/PA):
~9/2004: 20/19/20
~8/2005: ?? Hoping for 20's across this time around...
Degree: B.S. in Biochemistry
Applied: Tentatively 14-15...
Interviews: Hope I get at least one this 2nd time...
Accepted: I wish...

Whoa, you didn't get any interviews the first time around! If I had scores like yours, I would have a real hard time taking it again. Those are good scores! Your GPA is on the lower side but still, I would've thought you could of gotten some interviews and even some acceptances. The only thing I could think of is that you applied late.....man it must be tough! Good luck!

Here are my stats:
overall 3.5
sci 3.4
DAT 18AA/19TS/17 pat

So my stats were pretty close to yours. I did get a 14 on QR not good. I applied to 13 schools. I was offered 7 interviews, went to 4 and got into 3. I was offered interviews at Indiana, Case, Marquette, Nova, Temple, UNLV, and Dalhousie(in Canada). I went to Marquette, Case, Nova, and vegas. The only one that I wasn't excepted to was Nova(alternate) whatever that means down there.
You will have no problem getting accepted, just make sure that you apply to the right schools.

Now you need to use your political skills to get in.....visit schools, call deans, and work at clinics that teachers work at......
Don't worry....you will get in somewhere....go ahead and apply to the 24 schools
