Which schools need letters of rec. from DO's?

Hi,

I've just started the whole application process, so apologies if the answer to my question is in some really obvious place...

Could someone please list the schools which require letters of reccomendation from DO's as part of their application?

How about I give you ones that didn't require one. Process of elimination, although you should be able to find this info on ACOMAS web site.

CCOM, NYCOM, PCOM, Western/COMP, KCOM, and MSU-COM

I am pretty sure that KCOM, COMP, and DMU don't require a DO letter. To be sure you should check the website: http://aacom.org/colleges/index.asp

Of the schools that I applied to (CCOM, OUCOM, KCOM, DMUCOM, LECOM, GAPCOM, AZCOM, PCSOM, WVSOM, & VCOM) the only ones that HAD to have a DO letter were VCOM and WVSOM. The others would prefer that to an MD, but didn't full out require it.

Half of these schools I am applying to. all but one or two of them require a DO letter. I have a hook up for a letter if I shadow them. But even if I do not need a DO letter, does it look better to have one than those who don't have one? 😕

LECOM-E required it and I wld think LECOM-B would too.

You'll need one for OSU-COM.
