Add NYU, Tufts, LECOM, MWU-Il, MWU-AZ and the 3 brand new schools in Maine, Missi, and I forgot the third one. Just expect a lot of difficulty, the sGPA and BCP grades are really shot so hope your high AA score can pull you through.

I believe the one in Maine is mostly taking new England residents. And the third one is Utah is like 20 people which is most likely also going to be state residents. No idea about Missouri.

Thanks for telling me about this! I didn't know, I just heard that they were new schools and wanted to tell the OP about them. His sGPA is really low and he needs to apply to a lot of new schools to try to get admitted.

How many is a lot of schools? Which other schools should I add?

I would aim for 20 or more schools and since your DAT score is amazing, I would aim at schools that overlook GPAs for high DAT scores. Newer schools like East Carolina, LECOM, Roseman, and MWU-IL are better shots because they're newer and will most likely forgive lower GPAs for higher DAT scores. Sort doc's toothache's file by GPA's and deteremine which schools are a good fit. For example, a high DAT score isn't enough for schools like Harvard, UCLA, and Nova because they also required a high GPA. So you're best bet is to find schools with lower GPA requirements I would say 3.6 and below and apply to those.

So like Western and USC and NYU and stuff? 20+ schools is going to cost a lot of money!

Of course it will but if you want to go to dental school that would be the best option. Your sub 3.0 sGPA and BCP isn't going to win you a lot of favors. While the DAT looks good, schools need to report oGPA, sGPA and BCP figures as well and yours are pretty weak in the sGPA and BCP category. I would diversify to increase your chances.

And diversity includes adding which schools in particular? Thanks! 🙂

Okay fair enough. Anything other deletions or additions?

This may sound crazy but I really do think you have a shot at Columbia. I heard that they apparently have a hard on every time they see a high DAT scores and may even overlook ur low GPA! Wouldnt hurt to apply there.

Columbia is already on my list of far far far reach schools. I really hope you're right!
