I am applying to schools on both coasts and was wondering which schools require BioChem or anything above and beyond the usual 2 years of Chem, 1 year of Physics and 1 year of Bio. I know some schools require BioChem, Genetics or 1 full year of Calculus. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

University of Michigan requires biochem, for sure. I think that UC Irvine does, as well.

OK, just found a website that lists the schools. Now my question is: Has anyone ever applied and gotten into UC-Irvine or UC-Davis without having to take Biochem before the 1st day of classes?

thanks a bunch, SF. I do wonder though if these schools require that you take the courses before you apply, or before matriculation. If the former, I've wasted about $200 already

OHSU just added biochem and genetics as requirements. I think you just have to take them prior to matriculation though, not before applying.
