Hi guys, I'm from Michigan so I'm obviously applying to Michigan & Detroit Mercy. I did a masters in biomedical sciences in Florida after I didn't get in last year.

My stats: GPAs
undergrad science - 2.9 (bio major - so took endocrinology, immunology, biochem I & II, physio, anatomy, genetics, micro, evolution, cell bio, (all 300+/400+ level) and a lot of other bio courses)
overall - 3.0
masters - 4.0 (took biochem I & II, histo, anatomy, pharm, med micro, research, health law (all 500+/600+ level) and still have to take neuro & physio)
combined (ug & grad) science - 3.1
combined (ug & grad) overall - 3.2

I'll be retaking the DAT in july but got a 19/21 the first time, although my gen chem was 14 and reading was 18.
Did research at Nova's Medical School and got published.
Have done my fair share of shadowing, volunteering, etc. so there's no problem there.

I know my GPA is no bueno but I did pull off a 4.0 in my masters so hoping they notice the improvement.

I've narrowed it down to 21 schools so far but I want to get down to 15:
Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Nova, NYU, Maryland, Tufts, Marquette, LECOM, Midwestern(az), Midwestern(il), Louisville, Indiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Penn, Columbia, Pitt, Case Western, Boston, and Temple.

I've been told I have no shot at Penn, Pitt & Columbia but I think my chances are high because I'm published. What's your guys' advise?

Thank you

You don't really have a shot at penn and the like.

Consider OOS acceptances and tuition cost.
