what are the schools that accept your best scores for each secton? I think there are 2 or 3 and I believe Las Vegas is one of them. thanks in advance.

There is a post that listed all the schools. Don't have it though.

thanks for the list. It is actually a little confusing though. Maybe I should clarify. There are a few schools that will consider your Dat scores as the best scores for EACH SECTION, and not just your best total dat score overall.

Maybe I'm just misinterpreting this premise? I dunno. From what I remember there are only 2-3 schools that consider your DAT scores as the best scores you have in EACH SECTION.

The first time I took the dat I only got a 17 because I got a 15 in Ochem. The second time I took it I got another 17 cuz I got a 13 in QR (lol, I can't do math fast) Anyway, if I take the 18 I got on Ochem the second test and the 16 I got in QR on the first I have a solid 18, possibly a 19 overall, but I don't know what schools even consider this really. any clarification is appreciated.

I don't think schools could make that judgment because even if they take your best scores for each individual sections, they cannot accurately calculate TS. They could average to get a new AA for you, but that's just more work for them to do so I doubt any school would actually do it. I really think they just pick the better of the two tests based on overall performance, and not individual scores.

Though on the list, under VA states "improv". So I guess they might actually interpret your best scores. Call them up to check.

Med schools take your best score for each section.

dental schools actually do alot more work than you think. At least for the apps they are considering. Lots of schools will throw all your info into a program to crunch numbers and give you a "score".

when they say 'high' i think they mean that if you took the dat 3 times and got an AA of 17, 19, and 18 respectively....they will consider the 19 and not the 18. I dont think that any school will pick highest scores from each section....just my thoughts though.
