Which schools will tell you interview status over phone?

So I'm planning a trip to the mainland and want to see if any schools have granted me interviews but not let me know yet. Anyone know which schools are ok with giving interview invites over the phone?

albany and tulane did for me, could be others its just my apps may not really have been done being evaluated but those two did

I would call every school that I have not heard from and request that your file be reviewed for an interview. If you do it tactfully, I think it will probably be successful at some schools. You do have a good and unusual excuse. I am sure that most school don't get m/any application from Hawaii.

ummmm......i don't know if it would be such a great idea to call schools like Howard or ucla. it seems that those schools can be pretty rude. Although, it might not do too much harm if you tried.

I think that once everyone chooses a school, we should all send a F&#@ You note to all of them, thanking them for this wonderful process they put us through!


( just make sure you don't send that note too early! 😀 😀 😀

The U of MN and Wake Forest both told me my status over the phone once I had been granted an interview.
