Which "self assessment" do you recommend?

I haven't gone over FA CK book or any review material and my exam is on Oct 29th.

Do UWSA and NBME both give post exam score and analysis of how you did in various sections (ie Ob, IM, psych)?

Yes they both give a breakdown. NBMEs typically do not tell you which questions you mark correct or wrong (except if you buy NBME 4 with extended feedback). There is a mixed review on which one is better. If you have time do both USWA and and an NBME or two. Good luck.

I took UW self assessment without any preparation and I felt like I knew next to nothing. I felt like I guessed half of the questions.
68% was translated to 227.
With 4+ weeks to go, I feel pretty good.

How did you feel about UW's self assessment exam?
Which NBME exam do you recommend in 2 weeks?

I don't want to take one just before the real thing since it may freak me out.

Uwsa was off by 1 point from real exam...i took one week before step 2

For myself and seemingly many others who posted their scores yesterday, UWSA was the best predictor and it wasn't particularly close.

that graph on the stickied thread on top of this forum was also pretty damn accurate for me using the UW qbank %


My NBMEs which I took 7 and 4 days before my exam were under my score by about 20 points. My roommate scored 5 points higher than his nbmes (same forms 3 and 2). So take it for what it's worth.
